This project is the culmination of several hard-working months building a story and a narrative from an unreleased song. I first met MASSIVE SMILE doing a video gig for them, and immediately knew I wanted to shoot a their music video - which they weren’t actually looking for. So, I pitched the idea, and we spent many days and nights working through story inspirations, practical constraints, and embarked on some very adventurous shoots. I chaired all departments for the entire production - entirely soloing the crew for one of the shoot days (although the band were very helpful), seeing it through from my initial ideas, right up until the camera was packed away. The video is still deep in the post production ravine, but a November release, along with the song, is on the cards.
