My music video directorial debut. A song blending gospel with afrobeats, its video saw the same fusion - with dancers, church setting and visual grammar that consistently matches the pace of the music. My co-director and I worked tirelessly on ensuring plans were air tight, scouting several churches before the right fit for the video presented itself, and then shot-listing inside the church itself. We scouted the dance group, led by choreographer Dayo, who’s energy brought the liveliness and motion of the song together with the costuming and framing, to visually realise this fusion of genres.
